The Eight Immortals Cross the Sea

The Eight Immortals — a group of Taoist deities each possessing unique powers — decide to cross the East Sea without boats. Each immortal uses their special ability: He Xiangu uses her lotus flower, Lu Dongbin his sword, and Zhang Guolao rides his donkey backward. The phrase "the Eight Immortals cross the sea, each showing their own magic" became a proverb for using individual talents to achieve a common goal.
